Twin Rolls-Royce waterjets type: Kamewa 40A3 with stainless steel steering nozzles. Large open plan cockpit arrangement provides easy access to engines, jets and systems for service.
Preparations for launch and builders sea trials continue while final paint and varnish work is nearly complete on NEB Ďs Hull number 58. This latest custom project from the office of Zurn Yacht Design in collaboration with New England Boatworks is sure to attract attention on Narragansett Bay this spring. The classic New England style hull has been modified to enhance performance at speeds higher than all others in her class. Propulsion is provided by twin 1550 HP MAN diesels with Rolls Royce Kamewa Jets. The epoxy resin infused-cored composite hull incorporates an active ride control system with Humphree Interceptors.

Easy access to open water from the marina allows NEBís mechanics and electricians optimum conditions for commissioning systems close to home workshops at NEBís modern boatbuilding facilities.

Laminated teak coaming caps being fitted before final hand shaping by NEBís skilled joiners. Zurn design cast stainless steel line chocks complement the large profile teak cap rails.
Final checks before valve manifold opens to begin epoxy resin infusion of hull laminates. Zurn 50 hull mold modified to accept Rolls-Royce/Kamewa waterjets.
NEBís head electrician Buzz Flanders confirms installation details of the twin MAN 1550 HP - 12 cylinder, turbocharged diesels. Engines consuming more than 250 litres per hour require an efficient fuel system installed by experts. NEBís new construction team has years of experience with all size engines on a wide variety of custom yachts.
