The best of both worlds, Zaraffa lives two lives: A winning IMS racer, and a comfortable family cruiser. In her racing life, the 66-foot Zaraffa has raced everything from the Fastnet Race (where she placed first in class, second in fleet) to the Bermuda Race (first in IMS Cruiser/Racer Division, winning the prestigious Lighthouse Trophy). In her cruising life, Zaraffa's Owner and family have enjoyed making coastal hops as well as ocean crossings in speed and comfort. In a world where raceboats are growing increasingly Spartan and cruising boats can resemble motor-sailers more than sailboats, Zaraffa's dual-purpose capabilities prove that, whether racing or cruising, you really can have it all.

Zaraffa's construction challenge, which was to build a yacht light enough for racing but comfortable and appealing enough for cruising, led NEB's experts to marry the light and strong combination of Kevlar/carbon fiber to a Nomex honeycomb and Core-Cell structural foam core. The composite construction gave Zaraffa outstanding panel stiffness and strength as well as superior acoustic and thermal insulation. The yacht is beautifully finished below deck, with contemporary styling and a full cruising interior. The accommodations feature an owner's stateroom aft, guest stateroom forward, an expansive salon amidships, a gourmet galley to port, and an extensive navigation station to starboard.
